I grew up in Uxbridge, Ontario, working in my family’s pet store throughout my teen years. Small business has always been part of my life — the steady work behind the scenes, the relationships with clients, the care that goes into keeping something running well.
Before becoming a bookkeeper, I ran my own massage therapy practice for ten years. I know what it feels like to sit with clients all day and then open your laptop at night, hoping your books are “probably fine.” I also know how much calmer life feels when your numbers are clear and organized.
When our family grew and we relocated north, I found myself wanting stronger systems in my own business. That curiosity turned into a formal path, and I completed my diploma in Bookkeeping at Durham College in 2020.
Since then, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside thoughtful, driven women entrepreneurs who care deeply about their communities. They’ve shaped how I approach my work — with steadiness, integrity, and respect for the human being behind the business.
My family and I have lived in Iqaluit since 2020. I’m grateful for work that allows me to support a small group of clients while also being present with my daughter. Outside of bookkeeping, I love long walks with our dog across the tundra and cross-stitching slightly snarky jokes to keep things balanced.
I believe your bookkeeping should feel clear, calm, and contained — something that quietly supports your life instead of demanding more from it.
